Last weekend we went to Stone Harbor, NJ with some friends from Philly.  Even though this was actually Jaxson's second trip to the beach, this was the first time he could play and really enjoy it.  We had a blast!!  He loved the sand and the ocean.  The water was a little too cold to play in but he was still excited to see it and walk in it. (sometimes even run directly into it)

 

 

After an hour of hard play on the beach, we took the kids to a really neat park that was only a few blocks from the house.

 

Jaxson and Will (age 2) played so well together.  We were so proud of him.  After the park, the boys took a nap...

and then we set up a baby pool on the back porch for them to play in while we made dinner.  They helped a little bit..

but they got impatient...

Overall, it was an awesome weekend.  We are even more excited now to take him to Myrtle Beach.

I was so proud of his cake! It took me hours to make.  Especially considering the fact that I completely lost my cake decorating kit.  I designed this bad boy with plastic baggies that I cut the corners off of. Not too shabby huh?

I gave Jaxson a 3 layer cake covered in blue cool whip.  It looked like a total disaster so I put some sprinkles on it for decorative purposes.  Big mistake. He was so intrigued by the sprinkles that he tried to pick them off one at a time.  He didn't give us the show that I expected.  But he sure had fun!!

Jared and I took Jaxson to Chuckie Cheese on his actual birthday.  He was a little ham as usual. 

So I've been sitting here with my computer for over an hour now as my sweet little baby takes a nap.  All I can do is watch the clock waiting for time to pass.  Jared is coming home today from a trip to Atlanta.  I have butterflies in my stomach and I feel like I did when I waited for him to pick me up for my first date.  What a fun feeling!!  I can't wait to jump into his arms and feel his warmth again.  Love is such a wonderful thing.
